I agree on people … I agree on people who say your hands should enter the water in front of shoulder, not head. I went from 38″ in dec 2008 to 32.75 in oct 2009. I think you need more strength to lower your time. My 6 seconds improvement to 32.75″ is due to strength since my technique is still too “splashy”
@dodonat1991 That’s … @dodonat1991 That’s strange the video is only 41 secs long. lol. All out I can do 50m in 34 secs which isn’t that great, but not too shabby either!
as i see you put your hands in front of your head, but it is better to put them in front of shoulders, and if you want you can put your hand earlier in the water, when its more bent, causing less splash
it is well shown in video n youtube – michael phelps multi ange camera
is that the fastest … is that the fastest you can do on 50m? How tall are you?
3 months ago I was crap (had back surgery) but since then I swim every morning 2km and I got extremely fast (also thanks to the nice videos on youtube)
well i would say … well i would say its an adequte technique because he is not moving his legs the whole time ( your suppose to kick the whole time like an engine ! ) and hes moving his hips TOO MUCH
A nice technique, … A nice technique, much improved form the other video. Try to work on having your arms enter the water after you pull with the other arm. It seems like you are keeping your hand above your head, and then whent he other arm enters the water pulling. This is a very efficient drill, but for your stroke it slows you down. Try to work on it at your practices, I’m sure your coach would be happy to help work on it with you. Good luck!
