@213ssbb I would …
@213ssbb I would not plan on Kona in the first year you are able too. You have to qualify in a race within your age group. As someone who is in your age group the competition is tough and the gap is large(18-24). Not trying to discourage just keeping it realistic. To quailfy in your age group you better be ready to run a sub 10 race.

Don’t forget to eat good heart healthy fats. They will keep your body working right as good fats are used in many systems and functions.

If you look closely he’s doing a hill run. And one of the basics when doing a hill run is….to lean into the hill from the hips.

PART 1:
i dont know, but there’s something wrong about this… at the end yes, there was a video about him crossing the finish line. i presume he’s a placer. but looking at him train,, its.. it doesnt line up. i mean, 1, when he runs, he’s stooping over. no long distance marathon runners run stooping over, because it will shift the weight forward; also contributing to balance-loss.

PART 2:
another one, look at the bike.i know from the other video that its an OLD bike.but hey,your training with that??the aerodynamic position isnt aerodynamic at all.the bike is too short, the seat is too low,the back is arched.i dont know man,i know your a good triathlete but it doesnt mean that your a finisher in ONE competition,then suddenly your an authority in the sport.i dont know, just dont post videos that makes you look like an amateur when your trying hard to look like a pro.peace.

This is great …
This is great advice. To go further; if you haven’t done so you should set some intermediate goals like half marathon and marathon races. I did two marathons, four half marathons, 2 triathlons and many 10k runs before signing up. I also rode across Asia on my bike but that is another story. The best thing is your body will heal if you do consistent stretching. I would also highly recommend yoga.

Congrats, that is a great time! Being tired in the marathon is pretty common so don’t worry about it too much. You probably learned a tonne of information during training and the race that you can now take into your next Ironman. Best of luck in the future.

Actually I did …
Actually I did until I cut the arms off. However I have a piece of crap wetsuit that was meant for body surfing so I wasn’t worried about recking the suit. It sounds like your problem has more to do with sizing since you should not have breathing problems! I would say try renting a couple of different sized suits to see if the problem goes away.

Hi Jeff, thanks for …
Hi Jeff, thanks for your videos, Iron Barcelona was an amazing experience, 12.11 not bad being the first one, very tired in T2 and that’s probably the reason why marathon didn’t unfold at the pace I was expecting, next one will be even better. ciao.

You are going to …
You are going to need to learn how to train your body for power endurance and flexibility, train your mind to learn, train your power of will. Much like your body willpower is built slowly over time. The sooner you start the better. The stronger your body is the less pain you will have to endure mentally. Good luck to you.
P.S. SFAS stands for special forces assessment and selection not qualification as I erroneously wrote earlier.
