    well find out your strengths. Are you a good runner, or biker or swimmer? After you find your strengths work on your weaknesses more. For me I was an awful swimmer so I had to swim four times a week to get ready. Since I was an OK runner I cut down on running to improve on swimming. Try for working out five days a week even try to get in two workouts in a day. Make sure if the swim is outdoors you get some supervised outdoor swims in. Just because you can swim a mile indoors does not make it the same as swimming a mile in a lake. Here’s some good websites to try: http://www.trinewbies.com
